I'm going to walk you through exactly how I handle a new booking inquiry using AI — from the first email to the signed contract.
Step 1: The Inquiry Comes In
Someone messages me about an event. Name, date, venue, rough idea of what they want. Used to be I'd read it, think about how to respond, write something, rewrite it, second-guess the pricing mention, and send something that was fine but not great.
Now I paste the inquiry into ChatGPT with a prompt like: "I'm a professional DJ. This client sent me this booking inquiry. Write a professional, warm response that asks the right follow-up questions (budget, guest count, event vibe, timeline) and positions me as an expert without being pushy."
ChatGPT gives me a response in about 10 seconds. I read it, adjust 2-3 things to sound like me, and send it. Total time: under 2 minutes.
Step 2: The Follow-Up
They respond with details. Now I know it's a 150-person wedding reception, 6 hours, venue in New Jersey, budget around $1,200.
I use another prompt: "Based on this event, write me a professional package proposal that outlines what's included for $1,200, mentions my DJ experience, and ends with a clear call to action to sign the contract."
Again, 10 seconds. I adjust it, add my actual packages, send it with my Gumroad link to the deposit.
Step 3: The Contract
They want to book. Now I use the Contract Generator on my site (aifordjsglobal.com/contract) — fill in the fields, copy the contract, paste it into a PDF tool, and send it for signature.
From inquiry to signed contract in under 30 minutes of actual work.
Step 4: The Pre-Event Brief
About a week out, I send the client the Event Brief form. They fill in music preferences, special moments, timeline. I take their answers and build the full night's rundown using AI.
Used to take me 2 hours. Now it takes 20 minutes.
This is what I mean when I say AI saves 40+ hours a month. Not in big dramatic ways. In all the small tasks that used to eat your time.
Master this workflow. Then build on it.
